ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in New York City, Catherine Badin grew up in South America, New York, Los Angeles and Europe and has traveled extensively. She began photographing unusual objects and unique individuals in 1975 when she got her first camera, a Canon FTB-QL which she still has today.
Her photos have been published in both art and music magazines and exhibited in solo and group shows in Seattle, WA and Los Angeles, CA, including a group show at L.A.C.E. Several art videos she produced/directed were broadcast on KQED 9 San Francisco’s video art forum, FRONTAL EXPOSURE.
In addition to photography, Catherine is a writer and performance artist via short stories, poetry, song and spoken word.
Catherine currently lives in Monterey, California where she continues to photograph/ write about interesting people and exotic places.
